Naomh Brid Hurling Club was founded in 1996 when St. Fintan’s Hurling Club
in Ballinabranna and Parnells Hurling Club from Leighlinbridge/Old Leighlin
merged. The Club provides ongoing training in hurling for boys of all ages up
to 18. The training season normally follows that of local schools and takes
place in the Superbowl. The Club participates in local competitions with
surrounding Clubs throughout the season. Among the Club’s achievements
in the recent past have been:
• 3 Senior Hurling C’Ships. 1996,2004 and 2008.
• 3 Under 21 Titles. 1998, 2003, 2005.
• Minor Championships. 2004.
• 2 Under 14 Championships. 1999, 2003.
All these triumphs have entailed extraordinary work and commitment from
the officials and players of Naomh Brid which currently stand at 200 people.
The Club headquarters is Leighlinbridge Parish. New members welcome.
