Celebrating the sacraments is at the core of our parish life. Our big moments in life are marked in a solemn way from womb to tomb. As families and community, we come together to thank God and to experience his presence at these special times in our lives.

Here we provide all the details for the celebration of the sacraments in our parish.

Baptism Arrangements

Baptism is celebrated in our parish at the following times:

Leighlinbridge Church: Saturdays at 6.00 pm and Sundays at 12.00 noon by appointment.
Ballinabranna Church
: Saturdays at 4.00 pm by appointment.

Eucharist and First Communion

First Communion ceremonies take place in the month of May. A programme of preparation takes place throughout the year.

Reconciliation (Confession)

Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) takes place:

Leighlinbridge Church: Each Saturday before the 7.30 pm Mass of Vigil
Ballinabranna Church: Each Friday before the 7.30 pm Mass

Confirmation

Confirmation ceremonies take place in the Spring. A programme of preparation takes place throughout the year.

Funerals

To arrange a funeral ceremony please contact  Fr. Pat Hennessy or the Parish Office.

Housebound and Sacrament of the Sick

Each month Fr. Pat visits the housebound with Holy Communion. If you are unable to attend Mass due to illness or frailty and would like to be visited by a Priest or Eucharistic Minister, please feel free to contact the Parish Office, Tel: 059 972 2607.
